We are…The Walking Dead!!!

•August 19, 2009 • Leave a Comment

So as you can probably tell by the picture. Im gonna be talking about another one of my favorite comics on my pull list.

Let see…basically how I found out about this comic, was thru a youtube video, where this guy does weekly Comic book reviews on the comics that are released. So ive been watching his vids for a couple months and he always talks about The walking dead. He said it was really good, and very diferent and always recommended it as a good buy, month after month, so i decided to check it out. and boy, was he fucking right…holy shit.

The Walking Dead…is by far..the BEST comic i have read in forever. It is just awesome. Issue after issue, its breathtaking, the story is purely awesome. The art is very very unique and crisp. Each ending to each issue is a cliff hanger. I have YET to read an issue, without having the need to keep on reading and not stop. Its just perfect.

Usually comics start out as a big storyline, evolving alot of “little” story-arcs within them to tell the overall story clearly. But the walking dead does something different. There are not “little” story arcs. Its just one big story being told. It almost feels like a novel. but with comic book panels and drawings. Its really different and it has the feeling that the story is never really over. Unlike some comics where they have little story arcs. and at the end of the story arc, something is resolved, and they start a new thing. Its not like that.

Basically the overall story is about this survivor named Rick Grimes, he was a police officer in a small town.  He wakes up in a hospital, which we later find out he is in because he was in acoma for a couple days, after being shot on duty. He wakes up to the world (or atleast the eastern united states, they havent expanded the story that far out yet) being overrunned by Zombies. Noone knows why or who caused all this. but they are deadly…(yea cuz when have zombies ever NOT been deadly lol) He meets up with his family and a couple of other survivors and basically the entire comic is them trying to survive.

It doesnt seem like alot. But trust me…it IS. There in search of food, shelter, survivors snap, they backstab each other. Its a big mess and they are all trying to survive.

All in all, its a GREAT comic book series. and i highly recommend it to anyone. You dont even have to be a zombie fan, if ur in for a great story and captavating characters and Art this is your ticket…and SPEAKING of art…

The art in this series…believe or not…is in Black and White. Yes Black and white.

All it has is shadings and shadowing and the drawings. No color wats so ever. At first I was like “wtf?!” but after reading a couple issues. Its grows on you, and it leaves everything to the imagination a bit more. Its really good. Theres nothing more i can say… you guys are just gonna have to check it out.

Also, on the publishers website; Image Comics. They have the entire First issue of every comic they publish, online for Free. So if you want to check it out heres the link.

The Walking Dead #1

So yea thats basically it. The Walking Dead is awesome. Great buy, great series, great zombie action!

Techno/Trance/Hardstyle…The Difference.

•August 10, 2009 • 1 Comment

For a while now, ive really been into these types of music genres. I can easily say that most of my music on my iTunes is Techno/Trance/Hardstyle related. I really like the genre, and i have few friends that enjoy it as much as i do. Which sucks, but w.e. But what i DO have is ignorant ppl that think Techno and Trance and House are all the same thing. Which obviously it isnt! because if it was, then there would be no need for different names.

Perfect example would be, when one day i was driving in my friends car, and she says “omg lets listen to some techno!” and i was completely surprised and im like “yea!! lets do it!” me thinking ofcourse that she knew what she was talking about. But ofcourse..i should have known better. she put on her CD..and some fucking Black Eyed Peas song came on….Fail.

So basically what im trying to say is that alot of ppl dont know what the difference between this genres really is and im here to kinda explain with some examples what they are.

First off lets start with Techno.

Techno, mainly focuses on electronic precussion and doesnt need melody to make it interesting. It usually has less “layers” than trance, so it may seem repetitive at times. Build-ups are rare in techno, unlike Hardstyle/Rave where they are the main substance. Techno is ofcourse “harder” than trance, and ofcourse less “trance inducing” than…trance lol

A Perfect example would be…

Next up is Trance.

Trance, is mainly all about the melody, it has more layers than Techno, which means its less repetitive. It usually brings 1 or more build ups, but ofcourse not as many as Hardstyle/Rave. And ofcourse the main characteristic is that its music for the “mind” it causes you to be in a trance state when listening and its very soothing with no lyrics involved.

An example is…basically anything by Tiesto.

And Last but not least…my favorite, Hardstyle.

Hardstyle, is very similar to Rave and sometimes is considered about the same. It consists of many build ups, ALOT and I mean ALOT of Bass. Lyrics are minimal, and usually repetitive and sometimes added as improv by the DJ. The organization is sometimes random, and very surprising. Its my personal favorite and i love syncing up to it, and it gets me pumped.

Example, and one of my favorite Hardstyle Songs…

The Current Batman Storyline Part 4 [Battle for the Cowl]

•July 30, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Finally we have officially been caught up with the current batman storyline, and this will be the last part. Phew, that was long, anyways lets quickly recap.

In heart of hush, batman battles Thomas Elliot (Hush) and defeats him, but he is warned that The Black Glove is out looking for him. Bruce Wayne becomes paranoid and emo, and Batman RIP begins. He battles the Leader of the Black Glove, Dr. Simon Hurt. In the end of RIP, we see Hurt and Batman in, what looks like, a deadly helicopter crash. We skip 1 issue of batman and then read 1 page of the next issue (yes i know ridicolous, but thats DC for you..) and we find out that hes perfectly ok, but has recieved a call from the JLA that something has gone wrong. Then Final Crisis Begins. Darkseid is trying to take over, JLA tries to stop him, Batman gets captured, then he escapes, confronts Darkseid, shoots him in his heart, while Darkseid, shoots some laser and hits batman in his chest and then in his head. Batman is dead, Darkseid is Dead, the world is saved, and it leaves Gotham City without The Dark Knight. Which is where Battle for the Cowl begins.

Basically Battle for the Cowl begins 3 months after the end of Final Crisis. Gotham City is completely overrunned by Batmans Villians. Everyone is doing bad things, since Batman isnt there to stop them. Nightwing, Robin, Oracle, Birds of Prey, and some Teen Titans, are there to lend their hand, but its not the same without someone in the Bat costume. The mini series is 3 issues, but ofcourse, there are about 15 one shots/other miniseries that include the surname ‘Battle for the Cowl”

So, lets talk about the history of Robin for a second. There have been 3 Robins since the start of the Batman Series. Dick Grayson, Jason Todd, and Tim Drake. In that order. After Dick grayson “quit” or decided to be on his own. He became Nightwing. While Jason Todd was Robin, The Joker killed him. Then he got revived somehow (comic book magic idk?) and he is out to seek revenge on Batman for some reason…point is he is kind of a bad guy now. And the Tim Drake is the Current Robin. (up to Battle for the Cowl that is, you will see what i mean in a bit).

Jason Todd reappears in Battle for the Cowl, wanting to take on the mantle of Batman, but he is doing that for no good, he is in contact with two-face and the penguin and he just wants to be batman to control Gotham City. In the last issue, Tim drake puts on an old batman costume, and tries to stop jason todd, but jason todd, beats him nearly to death in the batcave. Then Nightwing comes in and fights jason todd, eventually moving onto a moving train (i know random..but it fits when u read it) and basically Nightwing doesnt want to kill him, he wants to help him, but jason refuses, therefore nightwing pushes him off into the body of water that the train is passing over. The last pages we see Nightwing head back to the batcave, him walking up to Damian (batmans son, who is dressed up in a Robin Costume) and we see it fade to black, and the last final page says “..embrace your birthright, your destiny, and finally realize…that you are BATMAN.”

So what happens now? Well Dick Grayson, aka Nightwing, aka the First Robin, becomes Batman. And Damian Wayne aka Batmans Son, aka Rahs al ghul’s Grandson, becomes the New Robin. And Tim Drake aka the 3rd Robin (before being replaced by Damian) becomes Red Robin and wears a new suit.

Now thats all this is set and done, DC has started releasing 2 new Comic series, Red Robin, and Batman and Robin. along side the normal Batman issues and the Detective Comics and a new series named Streets of Gotham. Mainly because right before battle for the cowl. The Nightwing and Robin issues Ended, so they had to be replaced. All these new issues have the Surname “Batman Reborn” instead of what it used to be “Batman RIP”

So thats it, you have been officially caught up. everything from now on. well since the last 2 months, so you have only missed about 2 issues of each of the new series, but nothing major has happened just a couple new story lines. Dick Grayson is the new Batman, and Damian is the new Robin. And now we see his troubles being batman and w.e. good stuff…i still miss bruce wayne tho, but dick grayson is a good replacement…for now.

The Current Batman Storyline Part 3 [Final Crisis]

•July 30, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Ok, so the last 2 posts ive made have been lengthy, why? because the story was actually pretty good and interesting, and I wanted to include as much as possible. But now that we get into final crisis…yea not so much. Fuck it..like the overall series of events in Final Crisis is so abrupt and overlapping and confusing, that half the time i didnt understand what was going on. So this post is gonna explain Final Crisis as short as possible..even tho i highly doubt it.

So at the end of the part 2, I said that there were plenty of unanswered questions and that everything would become clear in Final Crisis…well guess wat. That shit doesnt happen. If anything, all this gets even MORE confusing.

I read Final Crisis 1-7. didnt get it. and i was like WTF?!…so i did some research and found out u had to read Batman RIP…then skip one issue of batman, and then read ONE PAGE of issue #683. So you went from the end of RIP (#681) to a random page in issue #683. Basically what that page shows is batman returning to the batcave all wet (from the helicopter crash in the end of RIP) and Alfred asking “are you ok sir?” and batman saying “dont worry about it, i got an Emergency call from the JLA, gtfo”…THEN you begin reading Final Crisis.

It kinda make sence, since at the end of RIP we see him dissappear, and then all of a sudden in Final Crisis #1, he is there like its all good. So that page in Batman #683, kinda connects the dots.

So basically, im gonna try and summarize Final Crisis in less than a paragraph…here it goes.

Final Crisis, is the culmination of events that have led up to the end of the world, leading to the “Final Crisis” before its all set and done. Before final crisis there was a 52 issue run that was released Weekly named “Countdown to Final crisis” It told a bunch of little stories that reflected the JLA among other groups in the DCUniverse, getting ready for the end. What happens is that theres this bad guy named Darkseid. He…like all supervillians is trying to take over the world. But what makes him different is that hes a “god” like..zeus, not like jesus lol..but yes hes a God, and he has been set to take over universes and now hes in ours, trying to take over the earth. the JLA is the main group that is trying to stop them, but ofcourse there are other groups like the Green Lantern Corps, and a bunch of old, some retired, superheroes. What ends up happening is that…they fight the evil, shit happens, supermans wife, louis lane dies and then gets revived (which we dont know unless you read a separate tie-in), and batman gets captured. Since Batman gets captured by the evil ppl in Final Crisis, then he cant appear in the batman issues (because thats how comics work. theres only ONE batman character and he can move about in the DCUniverse, so if he/she is in one area, they cant be in their own comic storyline) anyways. Since batman issues are still being released during FC, there are 5 issues where batman isnt the main protagonist. These 5 issues are subtitled “Last Rights” and basically deal with how Gotham City and ppl are wondering where batman is, and dealing with the final crisis ordeal and stuff….some of them are kinda good back stories, but none of them are good enough to talk about. just know that between RIP and the end of FC, there ARE batman issues, but they mean shit. anyways…back to FC…

…Fuck i just realized this shit is getting long..ugh..ok, lets get to the point. Bad guys are trying to take over, JLA does their job and tries to protect the world, Martian Man-Hunter dies in issue #1 (yes i know sad..meh..theres a one-shot dealing with how exactly he died in details and the funeral, its pretty cool w.e.), Batman gets captured in FC #2, Hal Jordan is accused for the death of martian man hunter (because darksied brain washed ppl, idk stupid side story but its important since it happened to a member of JLA, the green lantern), more shit happens, and then comes..Issue #6. The Variant Cover has Batman on it, which means something is gonna happen. Basically Batman escapes, goes into Darksieds Lair. Grabs some “God Killing Gun” puts a “God Killing” bullet in that bitch, and shoots Darksied in his heart. He dies, but at the same time, Darkseid shoots some laser looking shit…batman surprised as fuck doesnt move..and it hits his chest, and zooms back and hits his head…Bruce Wayne has died.

Sigh, Grant Morrison is credited for killing the GODDAMN BATMAN! WTF?!…lmao anyways yes batman dies, darksied dies, superman finishes off any other extra baddies, final crisis ends, the world is saved. Boom. Thats basically all you need to know. The backbone of it all. Theres some details i missed of course, but if u want them go read 1-7 AND the tie ins. shits ridicolous, so i just said the main story.

So in the conclusion to Batman RIP, we see what we think is the end for bruce wayne. When it really isnt. Then in FC we witness him getting murdered by the hands of Darksied, and now we know what bruce waynes fate has been ever since RIP began.

Only thing i have to mention is that…i read RIP and Final Crisis a bit late. so when i got the issues they were all set and done and released, so i researched and purchased the issues i needed to read to understand wat was going on. But when these issues were being released noone knew the order. AND most of the issues overlapped each other and werent even released in the same order. For example, Final Crisis 1-7 has been out for about 3-4 months now. But to this date, there are STILL one shots, and mini series that tie in to Final Crisis, still being released. sooo maybe one these one shots, goes inbetween idk?..Issue #4 or something, and were missing that part for the whole story to make a bit more sence. so its kinda stupid. same thing with the batman tie ins. Issue #683 where we had to read that ONE page to make everything make sence, wasnt released until Final Crisis #2 or 3 i think…soooo you get what im saying. retarded.

So batmans dead, gotham is in a fucking shit hole. Whats gonna happen? Bitches gonna fight for the Cowl. which segways me right into…Battle for the Cowl. Which ill talk about in part 4 ;)

The Current Batman Storyline Part 2 [Batman RIP]

•July 28, 2009 • Leave a Comment

Batman...dead? o_O

So after the events of the Heart of Hush [Detective Comics]…actually a couples nights AFTER the events, or so i just found out. The storyline continues in the Batman issues. #676-681.

It starts out with batman and his girlfriend, Jezebel Jet. (idk where the fuck catwoman went, but she comes out in later issues, but you got to remember catwoman is batmans lover…you know friends with benefits…Jezebel is his wife/girlfriend…anyway) So this bitch named Jezebel Jet, knows batman/bruce wayne. She dates back to when they met in a previous story arc called “Batman and Son” (issues #655-658). Shes something important in europe or someshit, thats beside the story but w.e. She knows batmans secret identity, and lives in the Wayne Manor, which is odd. Bruce Wayne has been feeling a bit down and emo, considering all the events in heart of hush, and apparently a group called The Black Glove is after him, so hes trying to figure out who these ppl are. Theres a couple pages where bruce wayne kinda freaks out, because he feels that jezebel is hiding something from him, everytime he mentions the black glove. They are arguing in the batcave, and all of a sudden, Batman starts getting dizzy, foaming at the mouth and just falls over next to his computer. Alfred notices and hurries to him, but is tripped up by masked shadows, who reveal themselves to be members of the Black Glove. They beat up Alfred, take Jezebel, and take over the batcave.

And then in comes the leader. Hes name is Dr. Simon Hurt. Leader of the Black Glove organization. He teases bruce wayne whose semi unconsious, tells him his days are ending and other taunts. Then he grabs jezebel and kisses her. Obviously, Jezebel has backstabbed Bruce Wayne, leading the black glove straight to his hideout.

Basically, what Dr. Hurt does to bruce wayne is make him go fucking crazy. Mentally and physically. He gives him drugs, so he can start hallucinating and just messes with his head so he can meet his end all by himself. Hurt gives him hefty amounts of crystal meth, and heroin at the same time, and then throws him in an alley, hoping he dies of an over dose. We then see bruce awaken, totally out of it, walking around the street, his memory is faded. He then meets this guy named “Honor”. Honor helps him up and takes a bit care of him. He seems like a druggie/homeless himself too, but atleast bruce has some help on the streets. He takes him on a tour of his town and stuff. Honor teaches him some “life lessons” and end up sitting on a bench in a park. He tells bruce that there is this guy on such and such adress that can help him. Honor then gets cut off and starts whispering to the point that u cant hear him anymore. Bruce says “honor talk louder”..and nothing…he then turns around and we see a panel where Bruce is just talking to himself and noones next to him. He doesnt understand, but decides to go to the address Honor gave him. He arrives and is questioned as to who told him about this location. Bruce wayne says “a guy named honor, i met him this morning” and the guy responds “honor?! He overdosed on heroin 2 weeks ago…are you ok man?” We then see Bruce Wayne collapse and it fades to black. Apparently Bruce wayne was hallucianting.

During all this drug taking and stuff, the Black Glove members are on the hunt for Robin and Nightwing. We see a couple pages of them getting chased, and fighting all leading up to robin and nightwing excaping and killing off some members, then trying to look for bruce.

Bruce awakens again, this time in a dumpster alley. He is beginning to get himself together, and finds some cloth in the garbage, and makes a cowl, and a cape and everything. Basically he makes a batman costume, but instead of black and grey. Its Purple and Yellow, and Red. and calls himself “Batman of Zur-en-Arrh” (which according to wiki, is a nostalgic moment, because he once wore this same looking costume and name, along time ago in earlier issues of batman) He is basically back in action, but not really cuz hes still somewhat high.

He goes back to the batcave, confronts some enemies, they tell him Dr. Hurt is in Arkham Asylum trying to free some enemies there. He puts on his normal costume, and heads straight to Arkham where he meets with Dr. Hurt, and The Joker.

To tell you the truth…the Joker in this story arc, looks fucking BAD ASS. the artist did an awesome job. One of the best looking jokers ive seen. [you can see what im talking about in the included picture]

The Joker

The Joker looking fucking epic.

Anyways, The joker and Hurt are planning out what there gonna do. Right before Batman breaks in and begins a fight with Dr. Hurt. The Joker knows its not his fight so he stays back, but Hurt and Batman go at it. Most of the time its just hurt insulting batman, trying to get into his head, throwing out psychological attacks. Until when Hurt boards his Helicopter trying to escape. Batman runs, and leaps and grabs the helicopter, punches through the window, grabs hurt and tells him “this isnt the end hurt!” and the helicopter Crashes into the water. Robin, Nightwing, and Commissioner Gordon dont know what happen. and cant find Bruce. He has dissapeared…or is he dead? Is the entire Batman RIP entitled like so, because batman dies in the end? or Because his soul and mind became so corrupted that he might aswell be dead?…alot of questions unanswered…but hopefully they will become a bit clear…in Final Crisis, which I will talk about in Part 3 ;)

The Current Batman Storyline Part 1 [Detective Comics]

•July 26, 2009 • Leave a Comment

So as some of you know, ive been reading up on the current Batman Comics. (see earlier posts) And im really enjoying them. The writing is somewhat confusing, but the author writes it that way, so when everything in the end is solved, you get what u didnt understand before. The current writer for the Batman Issues is Grant Morrison, hes done other works like JLA, The Authority, and Xmen. But as of last year, he started his run on Batman and its worked out pretty well in my opinion. He starts off leaving random clues, and giving randoms facts that dont make sence watsoever, until the end, when u connect the dots and find urself going like “ohhhh shit, so THATS what he meant”

Batman RIP is related to Final Crisis because during the events of Final Crisis we witness “Batmans Final Ending”. The whole Batman RIP and Final Crisis storyline is very…um…extended, to say the least. As we all know, marketing is a bitch these days, and its all about money, so comic creators HAVE to make tie-ins, one shots, back story issues, related concurrent issues within other series that have to do something with the current issue. Sometimes its ridiculous, but it gets its point across in the end. And of course the RIP/Final Crisis storyline is no different.

I think for the new ppl trying to understand this (which is the whole point of this blog), you should think of Final Crisis and Batman RIP as two different storylines all together, and then make them kinda work between each other…Lets start Out with Batman RIP.

Batman RIP goes from issues #676-681. Thats the main RIP issue numbers IN BATMAN. But we also have to think about the “related” batman comics (Detective Comics/Nightwing/Robin) Those comics also have there corresponding RIP subtitle (These are what we call “Tie-Ins”)

Detective Comic RIP Issues are #846-850, Nightwing RIP issues are #147-153, and Robin RIP issues are #175-176.

Basically, the reading order overall (or so ive researched) is: Detective Comics > Batman RIP > Tie Ins > Final Crisis. The Nightwing and Robin issues coincide with the Batman RIP issues, so there really isnt a specific order persay.

The Detective Comics RIP issues begins the story by introduing this story arc called “Heart of Hush.” It deals with an Enemy by the name of Hush, whose real name is Thomas Elliot, who used to be Bruce Waynes close friend when they were little. Through the 5 issues of the Detective Comics, the story is narrated by Hush himself, and there are glimpses of flashbacks, dealing with how they met, and there relationship. What basically happens in the flashbacks, is that Hush is a fucking lunatic. He hates his parents and when he was 10 years old, he messes with their parents car brakes, hoping they kill themselves. and He half succeeded. Hush killed his father at the age of 10, but his mother survived the crash, ever since then he has been taking care of his mother, waiting for the time to kill her….creepy i know but w.e. He grows up, meets a girl, his mother hates the girl hes dating, he doesnt give a shit, he says the only reason he is still helping his mom, is for the money she has. Through out his entire life, his mother is ALWAYS comparing him to Bruce Wayne (“oh why cant you be like bruce, why do u have to date such ugly girls, be like bruce”) and it pisses him off to the point that he hates bruce and wants to kill him. One night Hush(Thomas Elliot) goes off on his mother, leaves the house, and when he comes back, he sees that their lawyer is in the house. He asks wats up, and his mother says she has written him out of her will. He is pissed, and right there Kills his mother, kills the lawyer, destroys the paper work. and Now hes alone, with the money….NOW….back to present day. He is still psyco, we see him doing surgery on himself, we dont know why but he has bandages all over his face. He goes out looking for Bruce, trying to get in his head in anyway possible, to get revenge on him for ruiniing his life and w.e. Hush is smart, and what he does is tell him “i will hurt you from a distance” and what does he do?…He “kills” Bruce’s current Lover…Catwoman. And by “kill” i mean…Hush Shanks her…rips her chest open, takes her Heart, and with the help of Mr. Freeze,  keeps catwomans heart in a container alive. and leaves catwoman in a hospital wired up to a machine. Batman goes crazy, finds hes working with Mr freeze and Scarecrow. Captues them both and heads off to fight Hush. Before the fight starts, he decides to remove his bandages, to show him his little project. Once removed, we see that he has done surgery on his face, to look..EXACTLY like Bruce Wayne. Whats his plan?…to kill bruce wayne/Batman and pretend to be him even tho hes dead. They end battle is inside the Bat Cave. Where we see Hush get on a helicopter type thing, and explode inside the cave, and theres nothing left of him but the crash of the copter. At the end, we see Batman talking to the healing Catwoman, rethinking his life, saying how Hush wanted to kill him BEFORE an enemy known as The Black Glove, got his hands on him first. When we first read these issues when they came out we didnt know wtf they were talking about. But now that everything is done. We know who the black glove is, it is the enemy in the Batman RIP storyline, which…ill talk about in Part 2 ;)

Playing Smash doesnt require smashing buttons…

•July 6, 2009 • 1 Comment

Ok so maybe the title is a bit of a lie…but not really.

Ive been playing Smash Brothers for a long time. Ever since Smash Bros 64 on N64 came out, ive been smashing. I played Smash 64 thru out most of my elementary days and then Smash Bros Melee on the Gamecube during Middle School. It was awesome. Getting together with my friends in the nieghborhood, beating each other up on screen. It truely was a great time. and then i kinda stopped.

I got into high school, i explored, kinda left my gamecube be sorta…friends moved, i moved. meh…then i met new ppl, and BOOM! Melee Smashing started up again. Then with the introduction of the nintendo wii, along came the new Smash Bros. title. Which leads me to mentioning my current Addiction (along side Eday/Comics/The Internetz)…

Super Smash Bros. Brawl

Yea. I just counted and realized that. I basically play brawl atleast once or more everyday or every other day. RIDONKOLOUS. But hey, i cant help it, that shits addicting. But yea, since brawl came out, ive started playing a little bit more than just for fun. It starting to be more for competition. Most fighting games, if not ALL fighting games, become professional competitions eventually, and brawl is no different.

You can basically play the game and have shit tons of fun just smashing buttons, but when skills comes into play, you need to know what ur doing with ur fingers (thats what she said). Forward Airs, Back Airs, Down Airs, F-Tilts, U-Tilts, Grabs, U-Smash, D-Smash, S-Smash. shit gets complicated!! Right now im Maining (my main character of use) Marth. But my secondaries, are Mario, Captain Falcon, Falco, Sheik, Lucario, Ike, Snake. Actually..i have alot of secondaries. Cuz im alright with almost everyone. But I basically use Marth.

Its been half a year or so, since ive been playing more related to tournament play. Ive been learning techniques and mindgames that can be used in play. So ive dedicated alot of time into this game, and i really dont see me putting it down for a while. Atleast until the next Smash game is released, which wont be for a while. lol

Collecting Comics/Mangas

•July 4, 2009 • 1 Comment

As a kid, ive always like cartoons, like every NORMAL fucking kid. But it wasnt till lately. or maybe till high school, where u start appreciating or noticing that most of the cartoons or atleast some were pretty fucking epic and had some back story to it. Most of which you didnt know as a child, cuz all u cared was watching it when u got home from school, and playing with the toys.

Batman, Spiderman, Dragonball Z, just to name a few. They all had there significant memory space in my childhood that I will never forget. (no homo, just incase, cuz that sounded kinda touching..anyways) Recently Ive been getting into comics, mainly the Batman comics. Cuz apparently, as i recently found out, they still make Batman Comics. Like i assumed that the story ended and thats why they made a cartoon and movies and shit. Cuz thats usually how it is with Anime/Manga. They make the manga, then make the Anime, then make movies, and thats it. But Comics is not like that. Batman Comic Issues are STILL being made. That surprised the fuck out of me. cuz like the First issue of Batman (which is like 3,000 bucks if u try and buy it.) came out in 1940. thats fucking OVER 9000 YEARS AGO!!. well more like 60-sumtin, but u get the idea. Ridicolous.

And ofcourse, since were in america, bitches gotta be making money out of everything, so in the batman “world” or w.e…Batman comics arent the only ones. You got Robin comics, Batgirl comics, Nightwing Comics, each with there own issues, volumes, and series. Ofcourse all the stories interconnect, which makes you sometimes HAVE to read them all, if u want to understand what is going on in the story.

For example, if in Batman Issue #10, batman says that robin, is being a little bitch cuz hes fucking a man. and Robin says “fuck you” and walks away..and for the nexxt 5 issues u dont see Robin. Your gonna be like…”wtf!? where the fuck is robin at!?”…well to find out…u need to go read the issues of Robin, and see wtf hes up to. So like they all interconnect, so its cool in that way.

So basically, all those cartoons we saw as a child, that didnt really mean much, other than just watching it for entertainment, and to know which toy to choose from when u went to ur local toy shop, they actually had a deeper hard working meaning. and that is wat is told in the Comics/Mangas that they originated from.

Cool shit, in my opinion. Alot of nostalgia occurs everytime i rewatch episodes of old cartoons, and read new and old comics/mangas from those exact cartoons. I miss the good ole days. lulz

Hmm…Online Shopping?

•July 3, 2009 • 1 Comment

Soooo, recently ive been doing a PLETHORA..thats a big word..i like big words no homo. anyways. ive done alot of online shopping. mainly Comic books, cuz thats what im currently interested in. (ill save that topic for another blog post)

Now, WHERE am i shopping online u ask? well…ebay :( .

I think that shopping online thru ebay, is like a love/hate relationship. For the most part, you get some good deals on something that u might want to buy. But then when you click the item…you see the dreaded “Place Bid >” button. and your like…”fuhhhhhh” Or atleast i say that. I hate bidding. Absolutely hate it. You wait till the last 30 seconds of the bidding to go all out. and then BOOM. u lose by a fucking couple cents. Has happened to me twice now. and i just started my “ebay adventures” and i already hate it. The feeling of..”dammit i wasted 5 hours of my time, waiting for this bitch to reach its last 30 seconds, and then i lose because someone managed to refresh there browser faster than me?! the fuck!”

Amazon also has some alright deals. Ive boughten a couple things in the past from amazon. but nothing too serious. I think the better deals are on ebay.

Now as for my recent purchases, ive bought a couple back-issue comics at www.mycomicshop.com and i can easily say that they have a SHIT LOAD of freaking comics. and at a reasonable price. reasonable because at the local comic book shop there twice as expensive. atleast the back issues that are meaningful/collectable.

So aslong as i dont get my Credit Card information stolen (*knocks on wood* i trust in Paypal, but u never know) ill continue buying online without a hassle. and hey, it beats going outside, getting wet by the rain, doing exersise to walk to the store and actually walk around and be social. lmao

Ok, Nevermind that internet 1337 speak. Thats not gonna work.

So this is my first post on here. Just to kinda summarize what im going to be discussing or showing in this bitch. BASICALLY, whatever has my current interest, ill post something about it. Whether it be, Movies, technology, music, books, websites, news, random thoughts about topics. Anything basically. Ill try to keep it kinda sorta professional. but i doubt thats gonna last. Because eventually, and by eventually i mean in the next blog post lol, im just going to express myself freely.

Right now its just me. But maybe in the near future ill have guest bloggers? or a discussion with someone else? Maybe? idk. we’ll see. Ill keep it fresh.

And for my friends reading this….Im doing this for the lulz. ;)
